Review: A deep ruby color, this Sicilian beauty has ripe aromas of black plums, bramble, and currants. On the palate, it's dry with moderate acidity, a round body, and soft easy tannin. The flavors bring more dark fruit, sweet spice, and toasty cocoa. The finish is a bit on the short side, but overall, this is a very nice little wine. It has a balanced structure and concentrated fruit. At $9.99, it offers a fantastic value.
Food Pairing: I'll be having mine with some rich beef stew.
Bottom Line: I'm delighted by this wine. Ripe fruit, soft texture, and great value. I dig it.
